Paragraphs
Senior Year (personally) was my most anticipated year of high school I feel like, and this in full consideration of freshman year when I walked into the 400 hallway not knowing where Ms. Flathās room was for weeks on end. From start to finish, it was quite literally all gas and no brakes; from tests and quizzes to class events and meetings to even simply hanging out with friends there was always something to do. I made sure to maximize every opportunity I had to enjoy life as it came and I feel like I definitely accomplished that goal. What truly made my senior year was (as cliche as it sounds) the relationships I strengthened and created along the way. Around the time of Thanksgiving and Homecoming, I think my friend group really came into its own. Having people you can rely on is definitely a luxury that many people take for granted, but I really appreciated every moment I had with them. I recently moved homes and I was questioning whether or not driving to school every single day for 30 minutes (times 2 for the trip back) was worth it or not, and while it seems like a small thing among bigger accomplishments to appreciate, I canāt understate how awesome my family was all year long. The are the support system that I pushed me along bit by bit whether it meant my father helping in my quest for Eagle Rank or my mother and sisters unquantifiable contributions to my college applications; without them I couldnāt have made my senior year the unforgettable time it was. - Gautam
Senior year was like riding a roller coaster while being strapped upside down with your legs dangling and moving 200 mph across twenty loops. An interesting mix of fun and terror. After junior year, I didnāt think my expectations for school could get any lower. Then I hung out with Pranav and Gautam. Iām joking! Binging Friends during junior year really paid off. At the start of senior year, I hung out with 11 people, including Pranav and Gautam (sadly), who uprooted my whole life. My expectations slowly poured down the drain as we hung out more. Thanksgiving was a really fun time while homecoming was essentially a repeat of sophomore year with a few sprinkles mixed in. During Christmas, I received a poster of my role model (a fellow IB scholar) which immediately increased senior year's rotten tomatoes score to certified fresh. There was a little turbulence during our trip to Berkeley, but, thankfully, Martin had it under control. Some of these eleven Iāve known since middle school, such as Pranav and Gautam, while I barely talked to others before this year; however, after all thatās happened, Iād take a rubber bullet for any one of these people (except for Hari). The past 8 months have gone by in the blink of an eye. I can't even begin to imagine what my life is going to look like without this group, who are the perfect mix of fun and terror. -Krishna
