Our Baby Josie The first three years
Year One
What a year it has been! You were born on a cold December night. Dad and I were so excited to meet you.
I am still breastfeeding at the end of the year, but I have started to introduce whole food. I need to eat more calories to keep up my milk production. Your favorites are oatmeal and bananas, peas and peaches!
Eating for You and for Me!
Immunizations
You had so many shots this year! I hated to hear you cry but I know it's for the best. You had: Hepatitis B Diptheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough Haemolphilus Influenza B Polio Pneumococcal Hepatitis Rotovirus
At Home
During the first few months, we didn't worry about baby-proofing our house but once you started crawling and pulling up we had to lock everything up! We blocked the electrical outlets, added padding to the table corners and closed all the doors.
Day to Day
Attachments
You are a very sweet baby but you are very attached to me! Dad can burp you and play with you, but when you are tired or upset, you only want me. You love to fall asleep next to me at night and you sleep better when we are touching.
At Home
Day to Day
I was able to take six month off of work, but now I am back to my office so you are going to day care three times a week. I was sa sad to drop you off there on the first day, but you love your teachers and you have learned so much! You go to Grandma's house on Fridays and you love her dogs.
Your Development

You grew so fast. You were able to hold your head up around eight weeks. You started trying to sit up at five months and we propped pillows around you to help! You began crawling around six months and you can pull yourself up now. Not walking yet, but soon!
Year Two
What a fun time we are having with you. As soon as you turned one, you started walking. You are happy and sleep well through the night.
Eating for You and Me!
I stopped breastfeeding in the beginning of the year and you are fine with it. You eat solid foods and we have started giving you more of them. You have some teeth but you do love your bottle. Now that I am not breastfeeding and getting more sleep, I have more energy.
Attachments
You are becoming more independent. You love your day care friends and you don't cry when I leave the room. You love animals too. Your dad plays peek a boo with you and you love it!
Immunizations
The shots keeping coming. You are up to date on them. You have had: Chickenpox Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough Haemophilus Influenza Type B Measles, Mumps and Rubella Polio Pneumococcal disease Hepatitis A and B Flu Shot

At Home
You are so active. You walk everywhere and feed yourself. You love the park and the swings. You sleep from about 8:30-5;30 and you love to go for car rides. Dad takes you in the jogger when he runs and you could sit there for hours.
Day to Day
Your Development
Since you are walking (and sometimes running) we have had to block the stairs and watch you. You love to play with doors and I worry about your fingers. You love to watch videos and play with your dolls. You stand up in your crib a lot. It's getting close to moving you to a bed.
You are loving day care. You have learned to nap on a little mat and wait your turn on the playground. Your favorite treat is watermelon. You still spend Fridays with Grandma and she takes you to mall to walk around get you both tired.
Year Three
You are three years old now! You play at the park and your daycare has turned into partial pre-school and you love it. You are still a great eater and sleeper.
Eating for You and for Me!
Now that you have all your teeth, you eat pretty much anything. You love cucumbers and bananas. You also love Cheerios and when grandma sneaks bites of ice cream. You don't take a bottle anymore and you love your pink sippy cup.
Attachments
You are now attached to your purple silky blanket! You sleep with it and you would take it everywhere if we let you. You like it when you are tired and in your bed. You are still attached to me but you do a lot of fun things with dad. You have fun together.
Immunizations
You only had to have one shot this year! Yay! Influenza

Your Development
You are very active. You like to kick the soccer ball in the backyard and throw the ball for Grandma's dogs. You have learned the alphabet and you know your colors and shapes. You are starting to talk more clearly so we can understand you better.
At Home
You started to climb out of the crib when you were 2 and a half so we moved you to a big girl bed. We put the mattress on the floor at first to make sure you wouldn't roll out. But you love your bed. You still love videos and we dont' worry about the stairs anymore.
Day to Day
We have started to have babysitters come and watch you when we go out at night. You like most of them. They probably let you stay up later then you we want but that's okay. You still love your school and friends and you have a new friend in our neighborhood named Lauren.
